Camper Calling 2025 returned to Ragley Hall in Warwickshire from August 22nd to 25th, celebrating its ninth year as one of the most welcoming family music festivals in the UK. Known for its vibrant mix of big-name artists, fresh talent, and its strong sense of community, the event once again blended great live music with cutting-edge production to create a festival atmosphere full of energy and warmth. This year, Urban Audio Productions contracted CPL, with video guru Lee Gruszeckyj at the helm, to deliver a bold and advanced video design solution that elevated the festival’s visual storytelling and deepened the immersive feel for all in attendance.
The 2025 lineup offered a dynamic spectrum of performances. On Friday night, Example took to the stage as a headliner, thrilling fans with a trademark set that fused rapid-fire rap and energetic beats. His performance not only showcased his greatest hits but also kept fans dancing until long after the sun had set, establishing a fiery start to the weekend’s program.
Saturday peaked with Sigala, whose infectious dance anthems and remixes filled the festival grounds with nonstop rhythm. Known for a natural ability to energize the crowd, Sigala’s set was a moment of pure collective release, uniting the audience with surging house beats and joyful, summery sounds. The dance vibes brought festival-goers together in a way few acts can achieve.
Clean Bandit followed with their signature hybrid sound, weaving classical arrangements with pulsing electronic rhythms to create one of the weekend’s most memorable performances. Their set bridged genres with elegance and vibrancy, offering a fresh contrast to the energy of the other headline acts while still electrifying the main stage. The festival’s closing was in the hands of Razorlight, who commanded Sunday night with a nostalgic return to fan favorites such as “America” and “In the Morning.” Their confident delivery and resonant choruses capped the weekend with a triumphant, singalong finale.
At the center of the festival, the Lakeside Stage stood as a technical and artistic landmark. It was flanked by two towering IMAG screens measuring 4.2m by 6m, ensuring audiences never missed a detail, while an imposing 7.2m by 4.2m onstage screen—crafted from Roe CB5 panels—gave even those furthest away a sharp, vibrant view of the action. CPL integrated the advanced Panasonic Kairos video system, capturing every beat of the performances with three Panasonic UC4000 4K cameras at front-of-house and two remote-controlled hot-heads. This infrastructure ensured that the visuals matched the sonic scale of the event.
The system was further enhanced this year by a technical game-changer: the Rigwheels PT Zero vibration isolator. Used alongside Panasonic AW-UE160 PTZ cameras, it diminished even the smallest disturbances caused by bass reverberations, crowd movement, or stage vibrations. With over 30 precision-engineered isolation components, the PT Zero enabled steadier, crystal-clear shots and stabilized visuals during high-zoom moments or when the crowd was most animated. As a result, the IMAG screens consistently delivered sharp close-ups and sweeping stage perspectives, offering the audience a cinematic, distortion-free festival experience.
Lighting design elevated the festival’s energy even further. Ayrton Perseos bathed the venue with rich beams and washes, their 500W LEDs delivering impressive intensity across the Ragley lawns. Adding contrast, Ayrton Cobra fixtures carved through the stage with their laser-like precision, creating striking graphical effects that pulsed in sync with beats. Together, they enriched the visual palette, transforming simple performances into fully immersive experiences where sound and light moved in perfect unison.
Behind the scenes, meticulous coordination defined the spirit of the production team. Led by Lee Gruszeckyj, with the support of Tom Naylor, Lola Brooks and Liam Batty, the crew balanced technical innovation with creative finesse. Each act was introduced with custom-tailored video sequences, transitions ran seamlessly, and every detail of the video design was tuned to support the performers and enhance the audience connection. Their effort cemented the reputation of Camper Calling as a festival that prioritizes both artistry and precision.
As dusk fell over Ragley Hall on the final night, the sense of accomplishment and community was palpable.
