We were pleased to be working with Urban Audio and Jazz Events again on the 2018 edition of the Camper Calling festival surrounded by beautiful countryside and woodland at Ragely Hall, Warwickshire over the August Bank Holiday Weekend.
It’s the festival’s third year and we have been the video – screens, cameras, PPU, media servers – supplier since the inaugural event in 2016. Joining the line-up this year was Feeder, The Coral, Melanie C and many more.
Fifty panels of Roe 3.4 mm LED made up the onstage screen, flown off a mid-stage truss and configured as a 4-metre-wide by 3.5 high main screen, flanked by two columns left and right, half a metre wide by 3.5 metres deep.
Playback visuals were run from a disguise 4x4pro media server and the set up allowed each artist to run their own visuals if desired – or they could use a selection of imaginative ‘house’ video clips compiled by our team.
This enabled everyone the chance to a distinctive look, further enhanced by a three camera IMAG mix also created for each performer, which could be fed to the centre or the side screens.
The playback visuals also included Camper Calling branding imaginatively re-worked at times to keep the visuals flowing and interesting, and guests could also tweet photos, selfies, etc. which were – after a quick screening – mashed onto the screen mix at designated times between acts.
Our project manager Lee Gruszeckyj commented, “It’s really satisfying to be involved with this event right from the start and very rewarding to see it grow, develop and become so successful. The people, the vibes and the environment are excellent, and we are all already looking forward to next year!”
